Fishing rules
Rules at Lac Perdu are not over the top, without good reason or difficult to follow. Our rules are in place simply to safeguard the fish and the future enjoyment for all fishing here.
- Bait approved or supplied by the fishery to be used only
- No particle to be used between months April & October (This is to ensure optimum nutrition for the carp when protein requirement is highest)
- Fresh / frozen, food source boilies only
- No trout pellet
- Only slings, nets and cradles supplied by the fishery are to be used, for bio-security we do not allow these from outside the fishery on site
- Treatment to be used on all fish, this is supplied by the fishery please do bring your own
- All fish to be handled correctly, please ensure they are out of the water for as short a time as possible, and placed over a cradle for photography, do not stand up whilst holding the fish and ensure you have fresh water available to keep the fish wet and gills irrigated
- Maximum 3 rods per angler
- Micro barbed hooks only
- Minimum breaking strain line 15lb
- Rig tubing must be used and at least 18 inches long
- In the event of a snagged fish please do not pull for a break, call the bailiff for assistance / advice
- Safe rigs only, lead must be able to free it's self in the event of a breakage, no swivels to be used above the tubing
- All litter to be removed, this includes bottle tops, cigarette ends and tea bags! "take only photographs, leave only foot prints"
- No excessive drinking while fishing, please be respectful of the fish and keep your own safety in mind
Finally, please ensure you have fun, smiling on carp photos is mandatory!
